Health begins to vaccinate local police and firefighters in the capital of Gran Canaria

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has begun this Saturday to immunize against the covid-19 to local police and firefighters from The Gran Canarian palms at the vaccination point installed in Infecar. The agents of both services have been receiving the vaccine from 09:30 am. A second shift will come in the afternoon from 3.30 pm.

As announced yesterday by the Health Administration, and following the regional vaccination plan, on this day the administration of the doses corresponding to the group of teachers, firefighters and local police is resumed.

The teachers’ vaccination will take place from 2:00 p.m. this Saturday and in Gran Canaria they will be summoned at the points enabled in Infecar, Expomeloneras and the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria, while in Tenerife they will be vaccinated at the Los Realejos Entrepreneur House, the Guajara Campus Lecture Hall, the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria Hospital, the Güímar Industrial Park CTCAN and the South Hospital.

Regarding the local police, firefighters and civil protection groups of other locations will be cited from Tuesday, May 11, at the vaccination points of Expomeloneras and Infecar in Gran Canaria, as well as at the Magma Convenciones center in Adeje and the Hospital Universitario de Canarias (HUC) in Tenerife.
