Hamilton will have to wait

When everything seemed to be done for Lewis Hamilton to conquer his fifth crown, things went wrong in a circuit that was always good for him. And that Vettel made it easy from the beginning because in the first round, while fighting with Ricciardo, he made a mistake again driving and made a spin. The same ruling as in other occasions and that "has lit" to all Italy that cries for his dismissal (some claim the return of Alonso). With Vettel and far from any kind of possibility, Raikkonen took the pressure off and, from the second place, previously snatched the first place to Hamilton in the same output, which was surprised by the Nordic. Since then the race became a strategic battle with Ferrari and Red Bull choosing a pit stop and in the case of Mercedes two stops for Hamilton. That is, with this approach things would be very rushed at the end. So it was.

Raikkonen maintained the first position without losing sight of Verstappen, who, despite trying, never had "to shot" the victory, because rather he should have worried about Hamilton, who came as a plane and with some tires in better condition. But it could not be. Beating Verstappen in a difficult task for anyone, and not even the best driver is an exception. Lewis tried and if he overtook him would be world champion, however, the Dutch resisted like a jab and caused the Mercedes to finish off the asphalt to lose too much time and have to settle for third place. And what is worse. Not even overtaking Verstappen would have been champion because his partner Bottas was not able to retain Vettel, who overtook him in the penultimate round, he achieved fourth place and thus delayed a week Hamilton's alir├│n.

Raikkonen benefited from the battle between his two rivals because it made them lose time and they did not cut time for him. The Finn achieved a very important victory that tempers the nerves in Maranello, but that further harms Vettel, who once again failed in the only thing he can offer: an impeccable driving. If it was not enough as "is the yard" with him in Italy, now adds a new error like yesterday. In fact, all this coincides with the surprising turn that has taken the future of Fernando Alonso, who now does not rule out anything to return to the F-1 in 2020.

The Spanish did not have much luck in the United States. The McLaren car is a caricature in all respects and, in addition, Lance Stroll took it ahead, which collided with the Spaniard and had no other path than that of abandonment. The Spaniard complained openly about this class of inexperienced pilots and certainly did not hide his tremendous anger.

Carlos Sainz, who finished seventh and did a good race despite the five-second penalty he suffered for winning position at the start by shortening in the first corner after the start, was better. The Spaniard showed that he can be up and, in addition, he received the order from his team to keep his position and not go on the attack with the next driver, who was none other than his partner Nico Hulkenberg.

There are three races to reach the end of the season and the driver's title is controlled by Hamilton, however, the constructors' is not so clear and the fight between Mercedes and Ferrari continues. For both this honor is very important because they both manufacture and sell cars and that has a lot of value. In a few days they will return to the fight in Mexico.
