Hacienda initiates the first contacts with the PNV to negotiate the Budgets
The Ministry of Finance has initiated the first contacts with the PNV in order to begin negotiations for the approval of the General State Budgets of 2019, as both parties have confirmed to EFE.
Sources of the PNV have indicated to EFE that today there has been a call to their spokesman in the Congress, Aitor Esteban, at the same time that the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, has confirmed that at this moment they are agreeing on the agenda for future bilateral meetings .
The PNV insists that it is only a first contact, and that from now on a period of conversations should start in which, in any case, discretion will be imposed.
Basque nationalists understand that this is the best way for negotiations to be fruitful.
Yesterday, Aitor Esteban advanced that the intention of his party is to negotiate the Budgets, but he warned that they must measure before how the budget agreement with Podemos will affect them in matters such as the invasion of social competences.
