Climate activist Greta Thunberg has already arrived at the port of Lisbon, after a trip across the Atlantic Ocean by catamaran since 20 days ago she left New York, according to images from Reuters Television.
In this way, the vessel 'La Vagabonde' has taken the Swedish activist, who refuses to travel by plane, across the Atlantic to attend the XXV Conference of the Parties of the UN Climate Change Framework Convention (COP25) held in Madrid from December 2 to 13.
Thunberg is expected to spend today with meetings with Portuguese climate activists and resting before his departure to Madrid.
In her official Twiiter account, the young activist has also posted some images in which she can read: "Road to Lisbon" while when it had not yet dawned she published another image of the Portuguese coast with the slogan "Earth today".

The young woman began a strike a year before the Swedish parliament every Friday to protest the lack of action against climate change and week after week has been inspiring a global youth movement that has stood up to demand policies consistent with the emergency climate that allow limiting the global temperature increase of the planet to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
Thunberg had moved to Santiago, Chile, where the celebration of COP25 was planned. However, the situation of social crisis in the Latin American country led Chilean President Sebastián Piñera to resign to host the summit at the end of October. Once the Chilean COP moved to Madrid, Thunberg then sought a mode of transport according to its climatic requirements to travel to the Spanish capital, since it does not travel by plane due to the associated greenhouse gas emissions
Although the means of transport that Greta will use to move from Madrid to Lisbon is still unknown, the young activist will intervene before the plenary session of world leaders who will participate in what is known as a high-level segment, as Europa Press sources have informed of the United Nations.
Thunberg will address the representatives of delegations from about 200 countries that will participate in the COP25 during the final stretch of the same, from December 10, which are precisely the days in which negotiations will be intensified, directed this year to end with the last loose ends to be able to implement in 2020 the Climate Agreement that was adopted in Paris in 2015. The Presidency of the Summit has called this meeting the "summit of climate ambition" and the motto of this year is "time to act".
Beyond her speech to the COP25 plenary and her eventual participation in the climate march, the young woman is organizing her agenda to participate in different activities during her stay in Spain both within the Summit, which will be held at IFEMA, as in other parts of the city of Madrid.
