Alejandro Amenábar explains his favorite sequence of ‘While the war lasts’

The sequence was born one day at a meal in the countryside. Alejandro Amenábar (Santiago, Chile, 47 years old) met with a group of friends, and the conversation, laughing and seeing, ended up heating up. “There is the seed of the sequence that I would like to rename”, says the director of Thesis, The Others or Offshore, which is currently working on the preproduction of the series The treasure of the Black Swan. His last movie, While the war lasts, a drama that illustrates the beginning of the Civil War through life those days of Miguel de Unamuno, has obtained 17 nominations for 34th Goya awards, which are celebrated next Saturday.
