Govern and social agents promise unity of action against Nissan closure

The Government, employers and unions in Catalonia have released a joint statement in which they express their rejection of the closure of Nissan and commit to the action unit to avoid confirming the cessation of activity of the three plants of the brand Japanese in Barcelona.
The Generalitat, the employers' associations Foment del Treball and Pimec and the unions CCOO and UGT express in the text their concern about the economic and social impact that the closure of Nissan may have, which employs 3,000 people directly and another 20,000 indirectly.
Govern and social agents regret "the way to announce this decision, with so little time", and urge Nissan to reconsider it "out of responsibility to its workers, to the supplier companies and to the territory that has hosted it for the last 40 years "
Administration, employers and unions, in addition, undertake to work to maintain Nissan's activity in Catalonia and value the unity of action to avoid confirming the closure of the three factories in the Zona Franca, Montcada i Reixac and Sant Andreu de la Barca.
