Germany confirms eighth case of coronavirus, related to the previous ones

The German health authorities confirmed today an eighth case of infection of coronavirus, another worker of the Bavarian company (south) with which the previous cases detected so far are linked.

This is a 33-year-old man living in Munich and employed at the Webasto car component factory, located in the Starnberg district, confirmed the Bavarian Ministry of Health based on information from the Regional Office of Food Safety and Health.

Of the analyzes made to Webasto employees between Wednesday and Friday, 139 have shown negative and two positive; This is the last case reported and the seventh, which was reported Friday night.

On the other hand, of the 124 people who landed this afternoon from Wuhan on a flight by the German air forces, one has been admitted with symptoms at the Frankfurt University clinic waiting to know if it is positive, the media reported.

Ten other people were also transferred to the university clinic, although for other medical reasons not related in principle to the coronavirus.

The eleven evacuated had already been isolated during the flight.

The other 113 evacuees were taken by bus to the headquarters of the armed forces in Germersheim (west), where they arrived shortly before 23.00 local time (22.00 GMT) to quarantine the fourteen days considered incubation period.

124 passengers were traveling on the plane, four less than the figure quoted this morning by the authorities, including one hundred Germans, 22 Chinese, one US citizen and one Romanian.

Among them were 21 children under seven years old.
