George Clooney arrived on Sunday at La Palma airport, after five in the afternoon, on a private flight from London to shoot the science fiction movie based on the island Good morning, midnight from Lily Brooks-Dalton.
The American actor got off the plane and was transported by bus to the security checkpoint, so he did not pass through the terminal of the Palmero airfield, thus preventing images from being taken. Clooney left the airport aboard a car, after this, on a second flight, the rest of the staff that will participate in the film arrived.
Cloony will direct and star in his new movie for Netflix, in which he plays Augustine, a lonely scientist who lives in the Arctic.
At the moment, the enclaves of La Palma are unknown in which the shooting of this post-apocalyptic story will be carried out, with a script by Mark L. Smith.
The winner of two Oscars was in August in Tenerife looking for locations to film this new movie. However, then it was not known that part of the team also traveled to the island of La Palma to look for spaces to shoot. And it was confirmed that ‘Good Morning, Midnight’ would be recorded on the Isla Bonita although the exact places where they will work are unknown. However, the Roque de Los Muchachos observatory seems to be an important stage in the recording.
The cast of actors in this film is completed with Felicity Jones, known for her roles in films such as ‘The Theory of Everything’; Kyle Chandler (‘Argo’, ‘Super 8’), David Oyelowo (‘Selma’, ‘Les Misérables’), Tiffany Boone (‘ Beautiful creatures’, ‘The following’), Caoilinn Springall and Demián Bichir (‘Alien: Covenant ‘).
