THE PROVINCE / DLP The company Timaginas brings its last premiere to Guiniguada Theater from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, today, Friday, March 22 at 8:30 pm, after a season at the Teatro Arlequn de Gran Va, in Madrid. This is the last bet of the Canarian company, released with great success last December, original of its director, Armando Jerez.
With a text in verse and set in an old corral of comedies, in this fun play four actors give life to the main characters of the Spanish letters and arts of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. As, by scene they will parade from Cervantes writing The Quijote; Segismundo in search of theater for La vida es sueo; Lope de Vega possessed by his muses; Gngora and Quevedo starring in a dialectic struggle in Pasapalabra; or Velzquez giving the last brushstrokes of Las Meninas despite the Infanta Margarita, among others.
A work in which humor is the predominant note from beginning to end, seeking the smile of the spectator and approaching the audience to the great geniuses of the Golden Age as they had never done so far from a stalls. Four actors: Armando Jerez, Mara Rodrguez, Luca Jerez and Andreas Figueiredo, will embody these key characters in our history and will be the link between the corrala and the present.
With a wardrobe, by Carmensa Rodrguez, who faithfully recreates the time with portraits and canvases of the permanent collection of the Prado Museum.
