A woman has died after being allegedly stabbed by her boyfriend in the Cantabrian town of Laredo, as reported to Efe sources of the Government Delegation in Cantabria.
The woman could not be revived by the emergency services that came to her house.
The Emergency Services 112 of the Regional Executive received at 4.05 am this morning the warning of this alleged case of sexist violence, which if confirmed would be the first of the year in Spain.
The murder of Laredo is the first macho crime of 2019. Last year, 47 women died at the hands of their partners or ex-partners and 39 children were orphaned as a result of gender violence.
Since 2003, when these murders began to be counted, there are 976 women victims of this scourge.
