The measure affects 42,216 vehicles of the Geely Vision and GC7 models manufactured between October 7, 2010 and July 7, 2012, as well as 47,441 EC7 models produced between July 5, 2011 and May 31, 2012 , as detailed by the General Administration of Quality Supervision in a statement quoted by the state news agency Xinhua.

The faults detected in the fuel pumps of these vehicles could present safety risks, so the company will replace the parts free of charge to the owners of the affected cars.

Geely, one of the leading private groups in the sector in China, owns since 2010 Volvo Cars, the car division that the Swedish consortium had sold at the end of the last century to the American Ford.
