Galds Laboratory examines the journalistic work of the writer – La Provincia

Three researchers from different linguistic and artistic areas will be responsible for sketching the work that Pérez Galdós carried out as a journalist in both the political and artistic fields. Carmen Márquez Montes is a professor at ULPGC, an expert in Spanish-American theater, contemporary Spanish theater and applied literature. Member of the Academy of the Performing Arts and the editorial board of Don Galán magazine, he has written 10 books and participated in two monographs and a hundred articles and chapters in Spain and much of Latin America.

Isabel Saavedra Robaina has a PhD from the Department of Art, City and Territory of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with the thesis Societies and musical institutions in the Eastern Canary Islands in modern and contemporary times. Degree in Geography and History, piano teacher, organist, teacher and cultural manager.

Salvadora Luján-Ramón is the Peter Bly International Prize for best doctoral thesis 2018, awarded by the International Association of Galdosistas, with the thesis entitled «Pedagogical Imaginary in the Production of Benito Pérez Galdós».
