At 3:00 p.m. this Friday, January 25, the deadline for submitting texts for the VII Festival of Monologues of the Foundation of Performing Arts and Music of Gran Canaria ends. The selected works will have a prize of 300 euros and will be represented in the Insular Theater Hall (SIT) on May 11 and 18
Applicants must be of legal age and may present a maximum of two works of up to 2,000 words each. In addition, the monologues must be original and unpublished (not previously published), written in Spanish and free of rights.
The theme will be free, although, according to the bases, available on the web www.salainsulardeteatro.com, All works that encourage, propitiate or legitimize violence, discrimination based on birth, race, sex, religion, opinion or any other condition or personal or social circumstance, as well as the consumption of substances that may generate dependency, will be excluded.
Also excluded are works that may violate the honor, personal and family privacy and the image of people, be offensive or hurt the sensitivity of citizens or those who contravene constitutional values or legal ordinance.
To participate in the call, it is sufficient to send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org before the 15.00 hours of January 25, 2019 (subject: "SIT 2019 monologue contest") with the proposal (text or texts with your corresponding title) and the personal data of the author: name and surnames, ID, telephone number, physical address and email address. The winners will not necessarily have to be the interpreters of their texts, since it will be the artistic director of the festival, who, when the time comes and agrees with them, decides who will take them to the stage.
