France is going to appoint a coordinator to act as a single interlocutor with Spain in order to correct the problems that, as happened recently, may occur on the border of Irún, where the French country has returned immigrants against the agreements signed between both states.
This has been said by French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner, after meeting with his Spanish counterpart, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, on his first trip abroad since he was recently appointed by French President Emmanuel Macron to fill that portfolio.
In a joint press conference, Castaner acknowledged that there have been problems in the Spanish-French border in immigration matters that must be "corrected" and that, therefore, it has decided to name a "unique" interlocutor with Spain and "no we deviate from the agreements "subscribed.
Recently, and as they have come to collect the cameras of the ETB, the Basque television, unmarked vans have left in Irún several black immigrants returned by the French Police.
On October 25, Marlaska referred to this issue returns who has admitted that they are producing refunds of immigrants from France to Spain who fail to comply with the agreements between the two countries, although he has stated that they are "absolutely punctual" and that this situation to be corrected.
