Mikaela Shiffrin continues her overwhelming dominance in the slalom races and today she set the fastest time again in Zagreb, which is her fourth victory on the Croatian track. In second place, 1.25 seconds behind the North American Petra Vlhova, after setting the best time in the second heat. The third place was occupied by the Swiss Wendy Holdener who finished 1.75 seconds behind Shiffrin.
Mikaela Shiffrin is showing herself unbeatable this season, winning the five slalom races held so far. Your level of confidence allows you to ski very aggressively and faster than everyone else. Today is his 36th victory in the slalom specialty.
Mikaela Shiffrin has a total of 52 victories in the World Cup, and with 1,214 points in the general standings she has a comfortable advantage over the second, Petra Vlhova (748). Shiffrin already has two other titles to his credit and except injury or surprise capital the third seems to be within reach.
As in the other four slalom races this season, the second place went back to Petra Vlhova. Although she has managed to climb to the top of the podium in Semmering and Oslo, the Slovak skier has still not managed to win a slalom victory this season.
In third place, the Swiss Wendy Holdener celebrated her 19th podium in Slalom in the World Cup. The talented Swiss who is already world champion, Olympic medalist and winner of two crystal globes in the Combined Alpine, is still waiting to get her first slalom victory.
