Fourteen museums will be free until September 30

The Directorate General of Fine Arts Arts has authorized the free entry until September 30 in fourteen museums state on the occasion of a Bell cultural to encourage visits and to promote the contemplation and enjoyment of historical heritage that they keep.

The National Archaeological, that of Anthropology, the Cerralbo, the America Museum, the Sorolla, the Decorative Arts Museum and of Romanticism are the seven museums located in the Madrid’s community that can be visited completely free of charge from this weekend until next September 30, includes a statement from the General Directorate of Fine Arts.

The rest of the museums, all managed by the General Sub-Directorate of State Museums, are: Cervantes House Museum (Valladolid), El Greco Museum (Toledo); National Museum of Underwater Archeology (Cartagena); National Museum of Roman Art (Merida), National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts “González Martí (Valencia), Sephardic Museum (Toledo) and National Sculpture Museum (Valladolid).

The General Sub-Directorate of State Museums, in charge of the management of these 14 museums, considers that this campaign will help “encourage society to recover the cultural habit of public visits to the state museums promoting the contemplation and enjoyment of the historical heritage that they preserve “, adds the note.
