The event took place on the morning of February 7 in the Raval neighborhood, in Barcelona.
The Mossos d’Esquadra and the National Police have arrested the four suspects of tying a man’s feet and hands and leaving him inside a flat on fire. The event in question occurred on a second floor of Magatzems Street. The man escaped from the building by jumping out the window and was displaced to a medical center with minor injuries from smoke inhalation.
The alleged perpetrators of this incident are being held for attempted murder, according to the Mossos in a statement, as the victim managed to escape. The operation ended with 12 arrests for crimes against public health. In this first group of detainees, were two of the people alleged to cause the fire and tie the man, both have entered this Monday in provisional prison. The afternoon of Wednesday, February 12, the Mossos arrested the third suspect of being involved in the event and, today morning, the National Police has arrested a fourth person. These last two are waiting to go to court.
