Four people have died in two traffic accidents occurred on Spanish roads since the start of the special operation of El Pilar, at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, until 8:00 p.m. today, Saturday, as reported to Efe sources of the General Directorate of Traffic.
The most serious accident occurred this morning in Valdoviño (A Coruña), with three young people killed when the vehicle left them on the way back home, in the neighboring municipality of Cedeira.
The incident occurred at 11.15 hours at kilometer 8.8 of the AC-556 road, between Valdoviño and Cedeira, when the vehicle hit a concrete wall, after suffering a road exit for causes that are being investigated, and later he knocked down an electric pole.
The other fatal accident, with a deceased and a slight injured, was recorded at 21:05 hours yesterday in the municipality of Cullera (Valencia), at kilometer 249 of the national road 332, in the direction of Cartagena.
In the accident, a 24-year-old youth was killed when the quad bike he was driving collided with a tourist, whose driver suffered minor injuries.
The special operation of Traffic, which foresees 5.1 million trips, will end at 12.00 pm tomorrow, Sunday.
