Footballer Eric Birighitti dies devoured by sharks after falling into the sea

Days later, the sea returned Birighitti to the same area, but in a different state, since it had been partially eaten by sharks. His body was unrecognizable and they had to do DNA tests to certify that it was the player, according to local media.

One of his former teams, the Hastings MSOC of the United States, lamented the loss of the player in social networks: “The bronco family is sad to hear the sudden death of Eric Birighitti. Eric played for Hastings during the 2016 and 2017 season and won a national title with the team. We will really miss him and our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. ”

After playing on this team, in 2017 he signed for St. Thomas Aquinas College, a private university in New York, where he was currently playing.
