The body of a 42-year-old man, a resident of Palencia, has appeared this morning floating in the waters of Santander Bay, in front of the Botín Center.
According to Europa Press sources of the Local Police and Civil Guard, the body has been found on the water, face down, after ten o'clock in the morning.
After receiving a warning from the emergency service 112, an allocation of the municipal police has been moved to the site, and subsequently, the intervention has been transferred to Maritime Rescue and Civil Guard, who were in charge of removing the body from the water.
The body is already in dependencies of the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard, where the removal of the corpse will be carried out, which, in principle, it did not show signs of violence, or "no indication" that presupposes a criminal act.
All this must be confirmed at the autopsy to be performed on the deceased, as is usual in this type of death.
For the moment More details about what happened are unknown, as well as about the causes of death.
