The accident rate in the primary sector in Spain has shot up 33% in 2020 with 90 fatal accidents compared to 46 in 2019, have been reported by agricultural organizations such as UPA (Union of Small Farmers and Ranchers). Specifically, last year 59 farmers and ranchers lost their lives in the performance of their activity; as well as 17 forestry workers and 14 people linked to fishing and aquaculture.
