Extraordinary subsidy approved for temporary workers without unemployment

The Council of Ministers approved this Tuesday an extraordinary unemployment subsidy for temporary workers whose contract ended during the State of Alarm without having generated the right to any benefit.

The second vice president of the Government, Pablo Iglesias, has assured in the press conference after the Council of Ministers that with this measure, which will reach 440 euros per month, coverage is expanded to protect new situations of workers affected by the health crisis.

Specifically, it will protect those workers whose temporary contract has come to an end after the declaration of the State of Alarm, with an exceptional unemployment benefit, without a grace requirement, for those who do not have the necessary contribution to access another benefit or subsidy. .
