Exports soften their fall in September with a 0.9% decrease




Exports moderated their fall in September, with a decrease of 0.9% compared to 9.1% registered in August, while imports decreased by 10.8%, also below previous months, although they continue reflecting the impact of the pandemic.

According to data published this Thursday by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, with this evolution of imports and exports, Spain’s trade deficit stood at 1,490 million euros in September, 65% lower than the same month of 2019.

In accumulated terms, from January to September, the trade deficit amounted to 11,105 million, 56.4% less, with a decrease of 12.6% for exports and 17.2% for imports.
