Former President Evo Morales is "very afraid" that a civil war will erupt in Bolivia, so in an interview with Efe, he called on Sunday for his countrymen to end the clashes immediately.
"I have a lot of fear. In our management we have united countryside and city, east and west, professionals and non-professionals. Now violent groups are coming," Morales warned when asked about the risk of civil war in his country.
Morales, a political asylum in Mexico since November 12, said he had "first-hand information" that there are "organized paramilitaries" and "gang members and drug addicts paid" by the Bolivian right to commit violent acts on the streets of the country.
