With the approval by the European Medicines Agency of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, produced by its pharmaceutical division Janssen, the EU already has four different vaccines validated to inoculate its population: those from BioNTech-Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna and the aforementioned one from Janssen. All of them, except for Janssen – which will do so shortly – are already being applied in different countries. Janssen’s vaccine is the first to be approved in Europe for a single dose and also does not require large infrastructures for storage and distribution because it does not need extreme cold like others, which should speed up the immunization process.
