The president of the Government in office, Pedro Sánchez, has been "convinced" that the PSOE will improve the electoral results that the polls give him and that the PP will not go back, because "even the worst poll" gives the Socialists win.
Sanchez has referred to the expectations of his party at the polls in an informal conversation with the media at the reception offered by the kings this Saturday at the Royal Palace after the parade held on the Paseo de la Castellana, on the occasion of the Day of the National holiday.
The head of the acting Executive has said to be sure that his party will win the elections again and with a better result than the one given by the polls, which suggest that the PSOE could go around the 123 seats it won on April 28 .
The reception of the Royal Palace has also been attended by the president of the PP, Pablo Casado, who has said that "without triumphalism", it is "possible" that the popular win at the polls in view of the trend reflected in the latest polls.
According to Sánchez, the polls are "a starting point" and "the important thing is that the PSOE will win."
He has opined that citizens "have more elements of judgment today" than in the last elections to facilitate a majority that allows to form a government and face the important political, institutional and economic challenges on the horizon.
"The dilemma is to move forward or block," said the chief executive.
Asked if the exhumation of the remains of Franco from the Valley of the Fallen will have an impact on November 10, Sanchez has opined that this matter will not have an impact on the electorate.
