Eroticism, Canarian landscape and crime novel star in 'La Literatura es Femenina'

The Literature is Feminine 2021 project, organized by the Laboratory for research and innovation in architecture, culture, urban planning, design and advanced tourism, will celebrate a new stage throughout this month of May, with different literary events among writers, led by Dulce Xerach, writer and director of the initiative.

With the aim of giving visibility to the creators of our time and giving them the place they deserve in a creative way, La Literatura es Femenina will hold three literary meetings at the Strasse Park, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

On Thursday, May 20, at 12:30 p.m., Purificación Pujol and Dulce Xerach will talk about literary creation, focusing especially on crime novels, a genre shared by both creators. The next day, at 11:30 am, the eroticism in literature will be addressed by Valérie Tasso, author of Diary of a nymphomaniac, and Dulce Xerach. On Thursday, May 27, at 11:30 am, Alba Tavío and Aida González Rossi, first-time authors from Tenerife, will chat with Dulce Xerach about how they approach the landscape and create contexts through it in their writings.

Organized to make contemporary creators visible and encourage them to continue the path of literature, the winners of the LLEF2021 awards will be presented on Friday, May 28 at 12 noon at the headquarters of El Laboratorio. These awards are divided into four categories: LLEF2021 literary award (adults), LLEF2021 literary award (minors), La Escritora De Hoy Award (artistic residency open to all disciplines on the representation of contemporary women in literature) and Photography Award # LLEF2021.
