ERC has confirmed today that it will support tomorrow the validation of the royal decree that establishes the path of stability in the debate that will take place in the Congress of Deputies, which facilitates its approval in the Lower House.
According to sources of CKD, the party considers that this support is "a new gesture in favor of building a framework of trust and dialogue" in which they continue to believe.
This support, he points out, does not presuppose "in any way" a favorable vote in future budgets and occurs despite the fact that "the measure will not have any route" since it will be vetoed in the Senate.
Congress debates tomorrow the validation of the path of stability, which puts the public deficit target at 1.8% of GDP by 2019 – five tenths above the current one – the same one that was rejected in this House last month of July.
In principle, the Government has the support of PSOE, PNV, Compromís and almost certainly with the PDeCAT, while Unidos Podemos has left the door open to join these formations. ERC claimed that everything was in the air, but now confirms its support.
To achieve the support of these parties, the path of deficit would exceed the procedure in Congress and would pass to the Senate, where it will foreseeably be rejected with the absolute majority of the PP in the vote scheduled for December 27.
