Emergency landing of the Soyuz spacecraft after an engine failure

The Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft, which took off today with cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Nick Hague on board, has had to return and land in Kazakhstan because of a failure in the engine, Russian agencies report.

The ship was heading to the International Space Station when one of the booster rockets failed. According to the Russian news agencies, the astronauts made an emergency landing and were in radio contact with the base. Apparently, they have not suffered damage.
