Eleven people have been poisoned last night by inhalation of smoke from the fire of a house in Madrid street Palos de la Frontera, as reported to EFE a spokeswoman Emergencias Madrid.
The fire has occurred, for reasons that are unknown, shortly before midnight in a house on the second floor of the Palos de la Frontera building number 5, in the district of Arganzuela.
To the place they have gone nine grants of Firemen of the City council of Madrid.
The first endowments, that have found a virulent fire and with great load of fire, whose flames broke by the facade of the building, have cut their propagation and they have extinguished it.
The firefighters rescued two people from the outside of the building, a woman who lived in the burnt-out house and a neighbor on a higher floor.
The Sammur Civil Protection has installed a field hospital in the area in which eleven people have been treated, all of them with a slight prognosis due to smoke inhalation.
The couple who lived in the house burned, which has been completely destroyed, a woman of 44 years and a man of 65, have been transferred to the Clinical Hospital, and a mother and her daughter of two years, to the Jiménez Díaz Foundation. The other seven people served have been registered at the site.
The Social Sammur has offered a housing alternative to the affected neighbors but most of them have declined the offer to stay in family homes.
The National Police has helped the neighbors in the evacuation of the building and the Municipal Police has established an emergency cordon and has secured the area.
