'El mal querer', by Rosalía, wins the Premio Ruido | Culture

The winner turned out to be the great absentee. Rosalía was made yesterday, Wednesday, with the Premio Ruido, which recognizes the best national album released last year, but could not pick it up. The singer, who is in Miami, sent a video to thank the recognition of his work The bad want. "It's done with a lot of love, so thank you for so much love back," he said.

Rosalía thus obtains her second Premio Ruido and consecutively. The last year he managed it with The Angels. Maria Ballesteros, president of Associated Journalists of Music, organization that delivers the award, described this album as "an unprejudiced, honest and authentic work", which drinks from genres as robust as flamenco and electronics. The disc has agreed to the nearly 200 musical informants who participated in the vote.

El Ruido, which has completed four editions, was unveiled at a party organized at the Barceló Theater, in Madrid, with the performance of some of the 12 finalists. The group La Plata opened the night and Belako and La habitación roja followed him. Putochinomaricón left wrapped in a black bag of giant garbage that opened as if it came to the world for the first time, with violet hair and face full of green glitter. With his electronic voice he came down from the stage to dance with the audience and sing against "racism of shit" and "irrelevant opinions".

The vocalist of the Madrid band, Carolina de Juan, started the performance with a piano solo in which she boasted of the American roots of its sound.

The band of Rufus T. Firefly was the last one to pass through the stage, since the singer Zahara, who had planned to close the event, had to suspend her performance on the same day due to a health problem.
