El Corte Inglés will present an ERTE that will affect some 22,000 people

The English Court has presented today before the Ministry of Labor a Temporary Employment Regulation File (ERTE) that will affect some 22,000 workers, the company reported on Wednesday.

The measure will last 14 days from the publication of the decree establishing the state of alarm and its extension will depend on how long the current situation lasts.

In this way, El Corte Inglés avails itself of the measures authorized by the Government and contained in Royal Decree 463/2020 of March 14, in which the state of alarm is declared due to the health crisis caused by Covid- 19.

El Corte Inglés adopts this measure due to force majeure and with the aim of maintaining employment, the company says.
