Specifically, the process of voluntary adhesion of exits has concluded in just two months since the plan was communicated to the unions and the pertinent negotiations began in a "climate of consensus".
The firm chaired by Marta Álvarez has indicated that after closing the voluntary membership plan last Friday, the number of employees who have joined has exceeded by more than 20% the initial figure of 3,292 people agreed by the company and the unions (CCOO , Fasga, Fetico and UGT).
From this moment, the company begins a process of analysis of requests, processing of voluntary terminations and adjustment of the workforce in which it must answer the requests until May 23.
The unions explained a few weeks ago that, if the request is accepted, the exemptions from the contract will be communicated with 15 days' notice and these will be able to take place until the end date of the plan, which ends on February 28, 2022 .
El Corte Inglés recalled that it will seek the "best possible conditions" for employees who have decided to leave the company, which is why it has hired two companies (LHH and ManpowerGroup) to help outgoing workers find a new job in based on your profile and professional interests.
This voluntary adjustment will not affect workers over 50, since they are the ones who, in principle, could find it more difficult to relocate. Also excluded are those who have a temporary contract or single days, as well as those with a disability of 33% or more, those affected by gender violence and terrorism, those who are caring for minors with disabilities or first-degree relatives with illness. serious, and in the case of marriage and domestic partnership, only one of the spouses.
The plan provides for workers who take advantage of the termination of their contracts a compensation of 33 days with a limit of 24 monthly payments, in addition to an exit premium. Thus, those who have been in the company for more than 15 years will receive a payment of 20% of the annual gross salary, while for those between 10 and 15 years it will be 10%, and for those between 5 and 10, 5 % of annual gross salary.
