Morelia (Mexico), Feb 14 (Efe) .- Eight alleged hitmen were shot dead on Friday at a ranch in the western Mexican state of Michoacán, where the country’s president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, is to inaugurate National Guard barracks.
According to the Government of Michoacán, the bodies were found at the Los García ranch in Pinzanangapio in the municipality of Huetamo, next to the southern state of Guerrero.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) points out that the ranch was used by alleged hitmen of the powerful Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), where Los Viagras gunmen, armed arm of the New Michoacan Family cartel, antagonistic to the CJNG, would have burst.
The eight bodies showed signs of torture and were tied by hands.
This multiple crime has been recorded during the tour that the Mexican president performs for Sahuayo and Jiquilpan, to inaugurate National Guard barracks.
On February 3, a command of alleged hit men from the CJNG attacked a slot machine establishment in Uruapan, in Michoacán, and killed nine men, four of them minors.
The Jalisco Nueva Generación, La Nueva Familia Michoacana and Los Caballeros Templar cartels operate in Michoacán, who dispute the control of drug production and trafficking, mainly of methamphetamine.
