At least four suspected terrorists and four soldiers have been killed, and two other members of the security forces were wounded in an attack on a border guard center in western Pakistan, an official source said on Monday.
The Army Information Office (ISPR) indicated that the incident occurred in the town of Loralai, in Balochistan, when a group of terrorists tried to assault a training center of the Frontier Constabulary (FC), the border force.
"The terrorists were rejected at the point of entry and did not enter the residential and administrative area, and when their primary objective failed, the terrorists resorted to firing indiscriminately and entered an annex complex," the ISPR said in a statement.
According to the source, the four attackers were killed in the attack, one of which blew up the explosives vest he wore, four other members of the security forces died and two were injured.
Balochistan is one of the most troubled areas of Pakistan, with the presence of armed separatist groups, Taliban factions and jihadist groups.
Pakistan launched an operation in northwestern tribal areas in June 2014 in which 3,500 suspected terrorists have died, according to Army data not verified independently.
