Education extends the application period for university scholarships for students from La Palma
The Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands, before the effects of La Palma volcano, extends the application period for scholarships for university studies corresponding to the 2021-2022 academic year for students residing on this island. The petition period, which ended today, now runs until December 31.
What's more, the General Directorate of Universities It will propose to the Selection Committee the granting of these grants to said students, even if they do not meet any of the requirements set out in the base of the call, a condition that must be justified by economic circumstances that have occurred, provided that these are documented.
Access to the application will be made through the website of the Ministry. More than 1,200 students from La Palma who are enrolled at the UUniversity of La Laguna and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as well as the students studying in public universities outside the Canary Islands.
