The Information Media Association (AMI), the Association of Information Magazines (ARI), the Federation of National Associations of Edition Distributors (FANDE) and the National Commission of Press Sellers have recalled that lThe kiosks are authorized by the Royal Decree Law (RDL) 10/2020, of March 29, to sell newspapers and magazines.

Distributors and publishers request that the pertinent instruction be issued urgently to Police Officers so that, in compliance with current regulations, they allow the opening of establishments for the sale of newspapers and magazines, as well as the free movement of people along public roads or spaces for acquire the goods sold in these establishments. In the same way, circulation must be allowed to deliver newspapers and magazines to citizens who wish to receive them at home, minimizing health risks.
The publishers and distributors thank all the kiosks, stationeries and points of sale of newspapers and magazines that are still open to the public and they remind all citizens that this service is guaranteed by the Royal Decree, given that it is literally detailed in point 11 of exceptions that the activity of “working people who provide services at press outlets” is maintained.
