The Minister of Economy and Enterprise, Nadia Calviño, has assured today that the Government does not study to reverse the decree law approved a year ago to speed up the change of the headquarters of the companies that decided to leave Catalonia.
"It is not an issue that we have on the table," Calviño said in statements to Onda Cero, where he said that she has not heard "lately" that this is a claim coming from Catalonia.
"We must leave the companies to make their decisions freely and if this decree were changed now, what we were doing was making it difficult for companies to return to Catalonia," he explained.
"The legal framework what it does is to provide a framework for these decisions to be made, but ultimately it depends on the companies and I think it is desirable that the political and economic situation in Catalonia continue to normalize, that the tension should go down, and This is going to favor that the companies make their decisions in this sense, that is not so determined by one decree or another, "he added.
"In the end, business decisions are taken by the administrative and management bodies of these companies, if the companies find that the situation is favorable because they will be in that autonomous community and if this is not the case and there is insecurity, they will go to another autonomous community." , has said.
