Dolce e Gabbana dazzle in Milan with a show full of color and glamor

Rome, Jun 19 (EFE) .- Dolce e Gabbana's show full of color and glamor dazzled today on the second day of Milan Fashion Week (northern Italy), whose catwalk was overwhelmed by the "therapy of Luz "proposed by the Italian brand, in a symbol of celebration and happiness.

The black transparencies, both on shirts and jackets as well as on trousers, with sparkling shiny stones and sequins of a thousand colors, gave the start to one of the few live shows of the contest, with a stage inspired by traditional Italian illuminations in the old Milanese cinema which is now one of the brand's headquarters.

The silk suits and bright fabrics, in bright and mixed colors, also played a leading role in the presentation, in which there was no lack of a nod to the Italian soccer team that plays the European Championship these days in Rome, with several pieces with the colors of the Italian tricolor band that remembered the football kit.

Fendi, for its part, opted for abstract motifs "floating" in linen suits and crocheted t-shirts, with soft colors, especially blue, lilac and pink tones that simulated the sunset for detachable jackets in a desire for freedom that was repeated in almost all collections.

A desire that could also be seen in impossible accessories, such as jacqard jewelry and necklaces, or glasses, headphones and slippers, all of them sporty, to be worn with low-rise pants.

The Tod's collection showed influences from the famous American photographer Peter Beard and his way of mixing the world of safari and the elegance of the city, a synthesis of casual and luxury, with rubber as the main fabric of the garments, but also of Explorer shoes and even sandals to wear with socks.

Another striking proposal of the day was the "post-pandemic jacket" by Marco Baldassarri, founder of Eleventy, for whom it is the key piece of the summer because, after a year of teleworking, the blazers have become outdated: the new ones are light and with a removable bib, to be used according to the activity.

"The first quarter of the year was a timid reaction, the second thanks to the vaccination plan has already had an acceleration, if it continues like this I foresee a very fast recovery," said Baldasarri.

Milan Men's Fashion Week, which opened yesterday with Ermenegildo Zegna's commitment to comfort and freedom, will last until next Tuesday, June 22.
