This new service will include the catalog of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic, among others.
The price of Disney + in the United States will be lower than that of Netflix, which in January raised the cost of its basic subscription to $ 8.99 per month (8 euros). After its premiere in the United States, Disney + will begin a process of expansion throughout the world that will last two years, still without exact dates confirmed, and that will go through different phases according to the zones. Iger, who is responsible for the rebirth of the company, has taken advantage of the conference with investors to announce that he will leave his responsibilities at Disney in 2021, when the last extension of his contract ends. "I have been CEO since October 2005 and, as I have said many times, there is a time for everything and 2021 will be the time for me to finally leave," he said when announcing that Disney is already working on his succession.
