Digitization, the employee that SMEs lack



Spanish SMEs, which represent more than 98% of the business tissue, face the major challenge of a post-pandemic world, in which the use of technologies has accelerated five years. To operate in this new digital reality, they have to adapt their businesses as quickly as possible. The Covid -19 has printed a new rhythm to this process, while significantly impacted by the restrictions imposed on economic activity to combat it. Specifically, according to an internal study by Telefónica Empresas carried out on a sample of 500,000 Spanish and British SMEs in April 2020, 44% of the smallest companies in our country – from 3 to 19 employees
