Díaz summons the social agents on Thursday to discuss the transition from the ERTE to the new “RED mechanism”

The Second Vice President and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, announced today that she will convene the social agents for this Thursday in order to address the transition from pandemic employment regulation files (ERTE) to those contemplated in the labor reform under the name of 'RED mechanism'.

Speaking to the press upon his arrival at the Informal Council of Employment Ministers held in Bordeaux (France), Díaz recalled that the ERTEs are structurally incorporated into the labor reform that came into force on December 30, specifically in articles 47 and 47 bis.

“What we are going to work with employers and unions is the direct application of these articles of the labor reform,” explained the vice president, who added that “the great characteristic” of the ERTE of the reform is that they can be activated to face crises sectoral.

Thus, he pointed out, if there were any sector that required the application of this precept, there would be no problem, since the labor reform has been in force since the end of 2021. However, to clarify the deployment of the so-called "RED mechanism" a table will be convened tripartite this Thursday
