Canarian soprano Davinia Rodríguez, one of the Spanish lyric performers with the greatest international projection, continues to open her way in her acclaimed artistic career. After her last successes in Verdi and Mozart operas, the Spanish singer returns to the bel romantic song with her debut in the main character of Donizetti’s opera Roberto Devereux. With this debut, Davinia Rodríguez opens up to a repertoire that goes like a ring on her finger, as she explains: “My voice adapts comfortably to the Belcantist line, since in my beginnings I played many roles of this style, whose difficulty is maximum and that demands virtuosity in agility and great control of the trust, but also a deep psychological work in serious roles as is the case of Elisabetta. The character is of a great dramatic force, as it moves between political power and love , and that must be expressed with your singing. Interpreting this role is also a milestone in the repertoire. “
After her debut in Los Angeles, the Spanish soprano will move to Italy to star in April and May again Roberto Devereux, then at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
