The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands recorded this wednesday 145 new infections due to coronavirus, a figure that rises again after the 78 new patients who were registered yesterday. A positive data is the absence of deaths from the virus in the last 24 hours, so the figure has remained at 233 for two days.
This Wednesday, in addition, 200 registrations have been registered (6,395 in total), so the number of active cases in the Archipelago drops to 6,864, 55 fewer than yesterday.
The new data places Gran Canaria as the Island with the highest number of daily infections. In the last hours, 60 people have fallen ill in Gran Canaria (7,499), and 55 have done so in Tenerife (3,990). In Fuerteventura there are 15 new affected by Covid (625) and in Lanzarote there have been 5 positives (1089). La Gomera today adds up to 10 new cases (64) and La Palma (179) and El Hierro (46) have not added new infections for three days. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Canary Islands have added 13,492 infections.
Of those affected, 66 are admitted to the ICU, five less than the day before, 211 are admitted to the plant, and 6,587 are at their homes.
