Citizens has filed today before the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) a complaint against the president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, and against his Government for an alleged crime of "provocation" and "proposition" to "sedition".
In the lawsuit, Ciudadanos argues that in serious crimes such as rebellion and sedition the "preparatory acts" are punishable, as stated in article 452 of the Criminal Code with the offenses of "provocation" and "proposition".
"We believe that the Government has already begun the execution of these preparatory acts, because it has not required anyone to cease its intention to provoke public disorder and to try to prevent the Council of Ministers from meeting," said the parliamentary spokesman for Cs. , Carlos Carrizosa, just the day in which there are demonstrations in Barcelona on the occasion of the presence of the Executive in the city.
Carrizosa has specified that, depending on how the protests of today in the Catalan capital derive, in the next days the complaint that has been presented today could be extended by incorporating new crimes "if it is demonstrated that the sedition is already being carried out and it is not only of preparations ".
Citizens blames the Government of Quim Torra and the president of the Generalitat for the events that happen today in Barcelona for "action and omission."
"By action, because they have encouraged the Committees of Defense of the Republic (CDR) to protest, when most of these protests are illegal, and by omission, because they make an absolute abandonment of their functions", considers the training led by Inés Close.
For Carrizosa, it is "evident" that Torra and his government are the "continuators of the coup against democracy" that began his predecessor in office, Carles Puigdemont.
