Crime lawyer Almonte says the knife found in a sewer is not the murder weapon
The knife found by a painter in a sewer in the town of Huelva de Almonte just 300 meters from the house of FJM, the only person tried for the double crime in this municipality and whose acquittal has been ratified by the Supreme Court, "It's not the murder weapon."
This has been stated in statements to Efe Juan Angel Rivera Zarandieta, one of the lawyers of FJM, who has specified that everything that will be investigated in the framework of the separate piece opened by the owner of the Court of Instruction 1 of La Palma of the County (Huelva) of the proceedings provided for in this case "will not serve."
The knife that two agents of the Local Police of Almonte delivered a few weeks ago in court, after the Central Operating Unit (UCO) required the City Council information on a weapon found in a sewer following the denunciation of Aníbal Domínguez, uncle and brother of the victims, "is not linked to the crime," he said.
Despite this, he insisted that "it is good news that this separate piece has been opened" because it shows that "there is a vocation on the part of the investigating court to continue investigating and clarifying everything".
He has also reiterated that this party is "one of the most interested in knowing the truth and is guilty of the facts", since it has been confirmed that his client, FJM, has been acquitted of all charges .
