This is how the exciting final of the LPA Surf City Open, the last test of the national surf circuit, La Liga Iberdrola FESurfing, which arrived in Gran Canaria with the world titles still to be played and which has finally crowned in Las Canteras Beach to Asturian Andy Criere and Lucía Martiño as Champions of Spain.
Canaries Luis Díaz and Melania Suárez managed to win the title of Runners-up of Spain after a brilliant performance throughout the championship. Precisely, the Tenerife Suarez and the Asturian Andy Criere have been the winners of the Open LPA Surf City 2019.
In the men's category, the semifinals managed to get the attention of all attendees. With a 13.45, the Canary Yael Peña achieved the maximum score and his pass to the final, along with the favorite and leader of the ranking, Andy Criere.
Galician Martín Cortijo and Canarian Paolo Giorgi Román did the same in their manga, which, to the surprise of the public, left out a favorite, the grancanario Luis Díaz, who said goodbye to his options.
With all the attention of the public, the great women's final started in La Cícer. The Canary Islands Melania Suárez, Laura de los Reyes and Lucía Machado and the leader of the League, the Asturian Lucia Martiño, arrived ready to give their all.

None of them let out the possibility of offering a show with each of its waves. Finally it was Criere who was done with both the title of Champion of Spain and the championship, obtaining the highest score of the event, 15.30.
Within the Open LPA Surf 2019, the Spanish Bodysurf Championship was also held, to a single event. In the final two veterans, Aitor Ojeda and Ricardo Estupiñán, who tried to revalidate the title, faced with the Grancanarios Armide Soliveres and Javier Domínguez, two young promises of the discipline. The veteran was the one that prevailed and in an exciting manga Ojeda managed to snatch the title from Estupiñán.
