Coronavirus indicators continue to decline and those hospitalized fall below 8,500

The Ministry of Health has registered 26,018 new coronavirus infections confirmed by test. Thus, the total number of people who have been infected since the start of the pandemic is 13,226,579. In this Friday's report, infections do rise compared to Tuesday, when Navarra corrected its data and excluded those who had been diagnosed with the disease with an antigen self-test.

By communities, Navarra is the one that reports the most cases (8,393), followed by the Valencian Community (4,506) and Madrid (3,811).

However, the Ministry headed by Carolina Darias has reported that the incidence in people over 60 has decreased since last Tuesday, from 694.73 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on Tuesday to 558.27 this Friday. As for the ICUs, there are 460 patients and 5.34% bed occupancy, a drop also compared to the report from a week ago, where it stood at 5.97%.

In the vaccination chapter, the total number of people who have the complete guideline is already 40,606,091 citizens, of which 25,743,855 already have the booster dose. By age groups, the one with the most people with the third puncture is the one that brings together all those aged between 60 and 69 (93.13%). It is followed by that of those over 70, in which 92.57% have received three vaccines.

Regarding pediatric immunization, 45.2% of children under 12 years of age have been vaccinated with two doses against COVID-19, while 55.3% have had at least one injection.
