Coronavirus in the Canary Islands | Three new deaths in the Canary Islands raise the death toll to 27 – La Provincia

Canary Islands registers 27 deaths of people with coronavirus after the data count carried out at 8:00 p.m. by the Ministry of Health of the Canary Government. Three more deaths have occurred this Thursday that add to the 24 registered in previous days and so far this week there have been 16 deaths.

The balance of Friday of last week at 8:00 p.m. closed with five deaths, which were joined by two new ones that occurred on the island of Gran Canaria on the Friday before midnight. On Saturday the virus claimed two new lives, a figure similar to this Sunday. This Monday there were five, the highest number of deaths in a single day until then and this Tuesday equaled the number of deaths in one day. This Wednesday, for the first time this week, deaths fell from five, adding only three, the same as this Thursday.

Total, the Archipelago accumulates 878 cases infected by Covid-19 this Thursday, which are 94 more than the 784 on Wednesday. The increase has been moderated with respect to the previous two days, which exceeded one hundred. The increase on Wednesday compared to Tuesday was 127 cases, and 100 on Tuesday over Monday. These data together with the 76 of Monday on Sunday imply that 397 coronavirus positives have been produced so far this week. In turn, there are 767 more cases than last Thursday.

This Thursday at noon, with data from the Ministry, which handled 784 total infected cases, 45 of them hospitalized in ICUwere also counted 18 discharges.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health are closed between 20:00 and 21:00 the day before, and cases after that date are not included as officers until the close of the following day.
