The Insular-Maternal and Child University Hospital Complex has made available to its professionals a Telephone Psychological Care program, as reported by the Ministry of Health of the Canary Government.
It is an initiative that arises regarding the epidemiological situation of coronavirus, since its rapid transmission maintains our healthcare system at an unprecedented moment, generating a great burden of stress for professionals.
The Telephone Psychological Care program, which has already been launched in the Hospital Complex, is aimed at all professionals who see their personal and emotional resources compromised, impacting on their healthcare activity or tasks.
To do this, the center’s clinical psychologists will attend by telephone, offering counseling and psychological support in the search for self-management strategies for emotional coping with this difficult situation.
Likewise, the telephone service is operational to attend to the workers of the Complex who are in an active labor situation, regardless of their service or professional category. All the information related to this program, as well as the telephone numbers and opening hours, can be found on the intranet page of the hospital center.
